Medical disclaimer
General information, not medical advice
NourishFix shares general information about food and nutrition. It is not medical advice, and reading this site doesn’t create a professional relationship with us. It doesn’t diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it doesn’t adjust medication.

What this covers
This disclaimer covers everything on nourishfix.com: our guides and articles, the Flavor Builder, the PMOS symptoms quiz and the PMOS food tracker. The NourishFix meal planner has its own medical disclaimer, which covers the plans, targets and recipes in the app.
General information, not personal advice
Our guides are written by a registered dietitian and based on published research and clinical guidelines, but they’re written for many readers at once. They can’t take account of your health history, your medicines or your test results. Your doctor, dietitian or care team knows your situation, and their advice comes first.
Talk to your care team before changing your diet
This matters most if you:
- use insulin or another medicine that lowers blood sugar: changing your carbohydrates or meal times can cause low blood sugar;
- take medicines for blood pressure or your heart: salt substitutes made with potassium aren’t suitable for everyone;
- have kidney disease: your protein, potassium, sodium and fluid needs can be different;
- take a GLP‑1 medicine;
- are pregnant or breastfeeding;
- have, or have had, an eating disorder.
Numbers and research
Figures from studies are averages, and individual results vary. Nutrient values are estimates; real foods vary by brand, portion and cooking. Research and guidelines change. We review our guides regularly, as our editorial standards explain, but an article may not reflect the very latest advice.
Quizzes, trackers and tools
The PMOS symptoms quiz helps you organise questions for an appointment. It is not a diagnosis. The PMOS food tracker and the Flavor Builder are general tools: they don’t tell you what is safe or right for your health.
Allergies and food safety
Always read the labels on packaged foods for allergens and traces. If you have a severe allergy, follow your allergy plan. Follow your local food safety advice on cooking temperatures, storage and foods to avoid in pregnancy.
Links to other websites
We link to research, guidelines and other websites so you can read more. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content.

These are support lines, not crisis lines, and their opening hours vary; their websites list them. If you or someone else is in danger, call the emergency number above.
