MY STORY
Why I started Nourishfix
Working in clinical nutrition, I kept seeing the same pattern. A patient gets diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes or hypertension. Their doctor hands them a pamphlet. They see a dietitian briefly — maybe 20 minutes — and leave with a meal plan listing foods to eat and foods to avoid.
Two weeks later, they’re back to their old habits. Not because they lack willpower. Because nobody explained the why. Nobody told them what insulin resistance actually is, or how stress raises blood pressure, or why ugali can fit into a diabetes-friendly diet when portioned thoughtfully.
I built Nourishfix to fill that gap. Not to replace doctors or give generic advice — but to be the educator and coach that every person with a chronic condition deserves: evidence-based, personalized, and grounded in the food and culture they actually live.

You get a personalized nutrition roadmap and the science to back it up. You learn why your blood sugar responds the way it does. Why sodium matters for blood pressure. Why your hormones are affecting your weight.

Not theory — real tools that work in your kitchen, at your workplace, at a family gathering, at a Nairobi restaurant. Strategies built around the food you actually eat and the life you actually live.

By the time we are done, you should not need me for every decision. You should have internalized enough understanding to navigate your health confidently on your own — for life.
