The NourishFix meal planner
Accessibility
Last reviewed: 10 October 2026.
We want everyone to be able to plan their meals with NourishFix, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, larger text or zoom. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Testing with screen readers isn’t finished yet, so we don’t yet claim the planner fully meets that standard.
What you can do
- Make the text larger with the A+ button at the top of every screen, or use your browser’s or phone’s zoom. Pages fit the screen without sideways scrolling, even on a narrow phone with larger text.
- Use the planner with a keyboard: every button and choice can be reached with Tab and used with Enter or Space.
- Use a screen reader: buttons, choices and form fields have names, and messages that appear after you act are announced.
- Choose grams and millilitres or cups and ounces, and the UK, Australian or US food values, under Your data on the start screen.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the planner keeps animation to a minimum.
How we check it
Every update to the planner is tested before it goes live. Automated checks (axe, against WCAG 2.2 A and AA) cover the start screen, each planner’s set-up, a finished plan, the Swap window and the shopping list, and an update isn’t published if they find a serious problem. The same tests check that pages don’t scroll sideways at 320 pixels wide with larger text, and that the keyboard reaches every planner. On 10 October 2026 these checks found no problems.
Automated checks only find some problems. We still need to:
- go through the planner with VoiceOver on an iPhone and TalkBack on an Android phone, and fix what we find;
- check the printed plan and the shared household plan page in the same way.
We’ll update this page when that’s done.
Tell us about a problem
If something is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, email hello@nourishfix.com or use the Feedback button in the planner. Tell us what you were trying to do and what device or assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within 5 working days.
